Abstract
This chapter investigates the dynamics and complexities of creativity within a process perspective accounting for flows of activities and events, the actors involved, and the material, spatial, and temporal entanglements of their work within the focal organizations and the institutional field. It builds on the empirical study of three fine-dining restaurants in haute cuisine to identify three distinct threads in the creative process, to show that creativity is a developing social process in which the different threads dynamically interrelate. We highlight that despite its generative nature, the creativity process is highly organized, and demonstrates the importance of time and space in the process.
