Abstract
To define precisely and incontestably the multiple dimensions which management, its methods and its principles cover, is illusory. The way an action is undertaken within a company requires diverse qualities in various fields, but it also relies on instruments which ensure for the management its coherence and its success. Raymond-Alain Thietart exposes here the great principles of the organisation, of the planning, but also of the evaluation and the incitement which form part of the foundations of management, while insisting on the importance of the interactions within the company in decision-making.
