Abstract
Cloud computing and big data offer new opportunities for business intelligence and analytics. This creates many avenues for research, more specifically for design science research. In this paper, we propose a typology of artifacts in design science research. We use this typology to analyze the state of the art in business intelligence and big data on the cloud, and identify research opportunities.
