En s'appuyant sur une méthodologie qualitative, cette étude examine les expériences de passage de frontières et  l'adaptation de 47 immigrés professionnels (IP) dans trois pays (16 au Canada, 16 en Espagne et 15 en France). Cette étude élargit le champ d'application de la théorie des carrières sans frontières au-delà d'un seul contexte national et en se concentrant sur une unique et très importante  population d'immigrés professionnels. L'étude présente également quelques leçons pour les économies locales, à l'égard de la gestion et de l'intégration des IPs."
