Abstract
This paper describes an expert system aimed at helping the information system auditor. The information system (IS) is decomposed into domains such as computer security, current applications, information system strategy. Each domain is composed of subdomains, and so on. Each domain is evaluated according to one or several criteria (efficiency, security, performance, etc.). This evaluation allows the auditor to express an opinion about the IS. The expert system is applied to Financial and Accounting Information System.
