Abstract
This paper underlines the advantage of using systemic modelling as a complement to a phenomenological approach towards the environment. In our research, we build up systemic models of the residents’ experiences and the latter help us to validate them. Once included into a systemic model, the synthesis of the residents’ experiences helps the planners and the elected representatives to make decisions concerning the environment.
