Abstract
This article explores the fundamental role of storytelling in care, drawing on concepts from narrative medicine, narrative ethics, and institutional psychotherapy. It develops narrative guidelines that humanize care by recognizing the plurality of voices and narratives that comprise it. These guidelines structure the development of narrative competence as a support tool in complex situations. From a practical perspective, they allow us to consider what makes a situation complex.
