Biography

Linda Benraïs is an adjunct professor in comparative law and mediation at Essec, director of the governance and conflict resolution programs at Irené and a research associate at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE Ideas).

She is an expert, teacher and researcher on negotiation, governance, mediation, gender and human security, particularly in the context of strengthening peace and security processes.

She is a consultant, trainer and researcher for the European Commission and the European Union Diplomatic Service in the areas of negotiation, governance, justice and mediation in peace and security processes, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Africa.

Previously, she founded and directed the International Legal Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Justice. She has acted as project manager and senior expert for the French government and the European Commission on strengthening governance, justice and human rights in different regions of the world.

In addition, she is an assessor judge (UNHCR) at the National Asylum Court (CNDA) and a sworn mediator at the Paris Court of Appeal.

She holds a doctorate in comparative public law of European countries, a Master's degree in international economic and development law, a Master's degree in business law (Université Paris Cité), and a diploma in mediation (Institut Catholique de Paris). She is an accredited mediator by the CEDR-Center for Effective Dispute Resolution - of London.
